Duration of trip: Afternoon visit
I managed to visit Bath one afternoon with a friend and spent most of the time wandering through the Roman Baths. This was definitely a sight to see with the great Abbey towering in the background. It was so neat to see the heat smoke rising off the water and to imagine what it could have been like to visit the bath house in ancient times. Walking through the city centre a bit, we were able to see some of the lovely Georgian architecture of the buildings and spotted the new bath spa constructed close to the original Roman Baths. I will definitely have to return one day to indulge in the natural healing waters of Sulis.
